Be strong and very courageous!

As I was in prayer yesterday, I was complaining to God about some less than positive circumstances. In response, He didn't give me step by step instructions on how to fix everything, like I wanted Him to. Instead, He gave me the same simple formula that He gave Joshua before he crossed the Jordan river. "Be strong and very courageous."
How can God expect me to be strong when He knows I'm so weak? The truth is, only when I am weak, can I be strong. For His strength is made perfect in my weakness. (Read IICor.12) When I simply resign myself and my circumstance into the hands of our Benevolent Almighty God, then His joy is my strength. (Neh.8.10)
And how can I be "very courageous" in the face of an seemingly impossible adversity? By taking my focus off of the adversity and focusing on God. If God is for me, who can be against me? (Read Rom.8.28-31) I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! And so can you...Only be strong and very courageous!

We need to pray for the youth of our Generation. UPCI needs a youth outbreak, we need to be praying not only to win lost souls in the world but to win the 'lost souls' in our very own youth groups. Youth everywhere are struggling right now, the Devil is breaking us down and we need to stand up to him and show that we cannot let him continue to attack us like this!!! We are all affected by this, look in your youth groups and look at the most 'on fire' youth you have and it almost seems they don't have the same impact or the same.....vibrance..., I'm not sure that is the word but I'm sure you understand what I am trying to say. No, I am not saying that there is no 'on fire' youth right now...I'm just saying that we can all feel this horrible spiritual low. This is OUR Generation and WE need to be Responsible for US, let us all pray for a BREAKTHROUGH! Lord, Teach us to Pray!

Well I think that this 30 days of prayer & fasting is really starting to affect all of us. I can feel it soo strongly, even though I'm fighting, God gave me the same scripture that He gave Mark. I was taking the buss to work this morning and I was reading my Bible on the Buss and God has just been directing me to scriptures that are just confirming what I am feeling. I felt the presence of God while I was riding the buss, and I just wish that I could've went to the church to pray before I had to go to work. It's neat... I think prayer is the most effective way to fight our battles!!
