When everything is going good it's easy for me to not think much about heaven. Why do we invest so much of our thought into things that will cease to exist, and think so little about eternity? Hmmm...I don't get me sometimes. I mean...well maybe I'll expound in another post...later.
Good thought Fungait! You get soo caught up in life, work, and such... we really do need to think about Heaven. To really think of it is soo facinating but very complex to the mind. Try thinking of eternity in Heaven and the mind just can't comprehend the goodness that will be there!!
That is a very good question...I'll admit that even when I'm in the very presence of God somtimes I don't even think about heaven...Great post guy..Makes you really think. I forget sometimes that I REALLY homesick for heaven. Makes me think of that song.." This world is not my home,I'm just passing through..." la la la la...
Good thought... I agree with Mark, I tend to not think of heaven so much when life is good. I don't even understand why. Though it seems that when something is not quite what it should be in my life, heaven flashes through my mind quite a bit. It's almost as though God has put it there show me what I might miss if I can't get my life straight... That doesn't mean I never think of heaven, I do, just not enough.
Just to add to what I have already said... I think that at times heaven can uncomprehensible to your human mind. We only know a world of hate, bitterness, pain, and sorrow, where the only joy we find in the world is that of God. We can believe there is a heaven, I have no doubts, but sometimes it's hard to comprehend the thought of peace and joy always. I find my mind doesn't always like to dwell upon things it cannot comprehend. Which would bring me to a possible answer to why I don't think on heaven too often... This is obviously not a good thing, definatly something to work on. I'm not quite sure how to word it all... Maybe you can understand what I'm saying or maybe I just can't quite get my point across... Just my thoughts...
