This is Esther, Lisa and Coco, we are in Barbados now. We just thought we would say hi and give you guys a couple heads up about some things....... Expect scammers!! (haha well maybe not scammers but thats what Coco and I(Esther) call them!!! GGGRRRRR!!!) If you are at the airport and someone comes up and starts to load up your luggage onto a cart or asks you if you want some help, say no....unless you want to end up paying them a good tip in canadian or american $ They don't tell you that you have to pay until they have already done their deed. Also DRESS VERY COOLY!!!!!! IT's VERY hot here! The humidity clings to you like crazy, you get out of the shower and start to sweat. Value your life, drive only with a local...Because they surely can be the only people who know how to avoid crazy drivers that swerve into your lane at the same time as you swerving into theirs in order to miss hitting a pedestrian!!!!!! So yeah things to watch out for; people getting money out of you, crazy drivers, geckos in your shower, spiders in your bathroom, prices that seem outrageous!, humidity like you wouldn't believe and CRAZY DRIVERS!!! haha But other than that it's pretty and there is no snow, the people are nice, and the church loves God!!! WE LOVE YOU ALL AND MISS YOU ALREADY!! HURRY UP AND GET HERE!!!

Hahahaha... that's awsome!! That happened to us when we went to Mexico.. they won't accept only $1.00. I wish I could've gone with you guys.. oh well! God Bless and keep safe!
Love you all!
Hey Everyone! We miss you all and wish you could be here today and not tomorrow! I thought I'd give you kindof an update and a little bit of what to expect. Wow, it is really beautiful here, the beach looks Amazing, though we haven't been able to go yet. Pastor Headley and his family are wonderful people, they are kind, loving and the kids are crazy. You will love them! The chruch is small but of the people we saw from it, they love God and they are ready for God to use us to start something amazing here. They have been praying about it alot, Tuesday night we had prayer meeting and one of the things we prayed about was 'The canadians' comeing to help them, the prayer was very good and I feel confident that God is fixing to do something like never before, I know that whatever is started while we are here will be continued and worked on by the locals when we leave. They love God and have seen many people leave their church. We need to pray that God prepares the hearts of the people to be open in Barbados, Abigail was telling us that the mass majority here is Anglican and they are not very open to anyone with other religion. Be prepared for all types of people(especially all us girls), some people will just stare at you, some will make crude remarks and swear at you trying to scare you(you must ignore these people), some people point and go "LOOK it's a White person!"(then they either laugh or stare), and others are really nice. The people here are, generally speaking, happy people, you will see people walking through the malls or the streets singing or rapping outloud, little kids skipping along the side of the road laughing with their friends. Try to always be with a local or in a group of at least three people, it is a little less intimidating that way, the girls should also either be with a local or with one of our guys, I wouldn't recomend any girls going out by themselves, not that anything will happen persay but just as a percaution because as just a group of girls we are easier prey. If you usually have a hard time sleeping through noise, bring earplugs or something, I'm not sure how it will be at the villas but over here the crickets start to get loud when it turns dark, which is around 5-6, they can get very loud but you kindof get used to them, then at about 4am the roosters start to do whatever that really annoying thing they do is called!! Crowing or cocka-doodle-dooing...whatever you want to call it, its EXTREAMLY irritating! haha And they keep going till sometime in the afternoon. Also bring NO form of camoflauge to wear, you are not aloud to wear any form of camolflauge while staying in Barbados. Bring something to stop your mosquito bites from itching. If you haven't changed your money over yet, it's easy to change it over here, you can just go to the bank and they will change your Canadian money into Barbados money then when we leave Barbados you can go back to the bank with your reciept and change your remaining Barbados money back into Canadian. I thinks that is all I needed to say... But just remember to pray for the people here that they might be open. Let's TELL BARBADOS!!! WE LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have a SAFE SAFE trip and don't forget to look out your airplane window when you fly in because it's really pretty!! All you in Calgary, keep praying for us the whole time we are here because we are gunna need it. BYE!!!!
